The story of a photographer
Hi there! My name is Julia Hershey, and I'm a foodie, lifelong music lover, girl, and animal mom, nature lover, true crime junkie, and a full-time traveling photographer across the Midwest. I grew up a creative, singing, dancing, performing in theater, playing instruments, and of course, taking photos. In high school, I knew photography was something I enjoyed. Any time I saw what could be a cool shot, I snagged it on my iPhone 4 and edited it to the best of Instagram's ability. As I got older and became active in my local music scene, I became friends with several professional photographers. I watched them and was in awe. It somehow had never clicked to me to take it any farther than my phone, but suddenly, I was fascinated. I got my first Nikon in December of 2019 and have been glued to my camera ever since.
